The
Gurdwara was founded in 1969 Dr. Amarjit S. Marwah and the local
Sikh community. Religious celebrations include, among other
activities, Gurpurbs. Community services included promotion of
education among children, development of Sikh history library,
organizing intra-faith seminars and Guru Nanak Modikhana for
homeless. Suitable accommodation is available for visitors. There
are about 10,000 members of the Sikh community in the area .
